Originally launched in 1987 as Chanel's very first dedicated timepiece for women, the Première integrates the design codes of the fashion house into fine watchmaking.
The distinctive octagonal case shape mimics the geometric geometry of the Chanel N°5 perfume bottle stopper, which itself mirrors the architectural outline of Place Vendôme in Paris. This specific variant modernizes the look by swapping out the classic single strap for a graphic, statement-making double-row chain bracelet. The steel links are meticulously interwoven with premium black calfskin leather, drawing direct inspiration from the iconic interwoven metal shoulder straps found on Chanel's signature quilted handbags.
To maintain its minimalist aesthetic, the glossy black-lacquered dial intentionally leaves behind all indices and second markers, operating solely on polished hour and minute hands.
